Heather Grace's book BUBBLE MUD AND OTHER POEMS is a charming book for young children. The colorful illustrations, oddball, and quirky poems are sure to keep your child's attention. I loved the parent/teacher manual that accompanies every book, and my four and five year old enjoyed the activities such as coloring pages, puzzles, and word games. Besides the wonderful poems, Grace also has provided her readers with word searches, activity sheets, and coloring pages. I printed out the sheets for my son, and he loves them. One of the coloring pages now hangs on my fridge. The activity sheets I admired. They are fun, but at the same time educational. One of the sheets is an understanding page; questions and answers pertaining to the poetry that the child just read. Grace then provides for the parents/teachers urls of educational resources. This is a perfect book for homeschooling children, and I highly recommend it. It is released next month, so it is perfect timing.
